Tuomas Laitinen – Life Is Temporary

Sat, Sept. 19, 2:30 p.m.
Anti-Festival, Kuopio

"Life Is Temporary " is a lecture-performance by Tuomas Laitinen that examines the 25-year history of the ANTI Festival and the disappearance and traces of the performances created during that time. What happens to performances once they’re over—do they really disappear?

The work is part of a collaborative project between the ANTI Festival, the Reality Research Center, and Mad House Helsinki’s “Collection of Vanishing Art,” which reimagines the ways in which performance art is created, presented, and experienced in the context of public art. As part of the project, Laitinen is creating a new public-space performance piece for the year 2027.
