Mad House Helsinki and the Reality Research Center are developing a joint organization by involving their members.
The merger of Mad House Helsinki and the Reality Research Center is proceeding in stages and in close cooperation with the members of both organizations. The strategy and merger agreement are currently being prepared, and since the beginning of the year, members have been participating in the process through workshop-style focus groups.
Focus groups provide an opportunity to hear the views of members from diverse backgrounds. In this way, member representatives participate in the development of values, operating models, vision, membership criteria, and public relations based on the organizations' existing operating environments. The goal is to build a new organization based on jointly outlined guidelines.
The following artists are participating in the focus groups: Giorgio Convertito, Henriikka Himma, Tuomas Laitinen, Viljami Nissi, Maija Nurmio, Maria Oiva, Vishnu Vardhani Rajan, Kati Raatikainen, Nora Rinne, Essi Rossi, Maria Santavuori, Nicolina Stylianou, Iina Taijonlahti, Patricia Scalco.
Focus group work will form the basis for the organization's draft strategy, which will be completed in May. The official merger will be decided once the members have approved the merger agreement.
The aim of the merger is to strengthen the operating conditions for performing arts and to build a sustainable performing arts organization.
