Shadow School is here again!
Do you need peer support and structure to work through the questions that you are buzy with - or space to find them? Sign up for a shadow school!
We convene inter-institutional actors, precarious actors, activists and artists. You can be anyone!
What, Where, When & Why?
The Shadow School will take place from 10 to 14 November 2025 in the Parvisali at Mad House, located in the House of Text. The school will be loosely facilitated by jojo and noia and those who will be attending the school themselves. Participation is free of charge.
This is a late "back to school" lark. The intention is to provide an alternative platform for experimentation. At the end of the day, everyone will be offered a space to share their work, e.g. by narration or demonstration. We are learning to put our thinking outside of ourselves ;)
Plan for the day:
11-12am start of the day: gymnastics / body care
12-13 pm facilitated sparring
13-14 lunch (bring your own food!)
14-16 own work + possible mentoring
16-17 demos and ending of the day
On the last day we celebrate our graduation ;)
Space
Nothing in the daily programme is compulsory - it can be applied. You can come and go at your own pace.
The space belongs to those who are there.
You can also participate for only part of the week. A full commitment is not necessary, but please take into account the working peace and quiet that will be created in the space.
We will agree on more specific wishes when we meet together - for example, on vocal practices, peer support methods and various different needs for the working environment.
Together, we are building a safer and anti-fascist space.

Facilities
The building has a microwave, coffee machine, fridge and shower. Unfortunately, lunch is not provided, so bring your own snacks! We have one shared space with sound system and lobbies with toilets.
